Hi, I’m Alex.

I’m a graphic designer from Dallas who creates block prints inspired by my travels.

Process

  • a floral design carved into a rubber block

    Carve

    Each print begins as a sketch, which is then transferred to a rubber block. The design is then carved out of rubber or linoleum using metal gauges.

    Ink

    The finished design is then inked by hand. Each color is carved and inked on a separate block.

    Print

    Some prints may have several layers. Each block is registered and printed by hand to create a one-of-a-kind work of art.
