I visited Florence five years ago, and fell in love with the city. It is the capital of the region of Tuscany and his home to beautiful Renaissance art and architecture, as well as various parks and gardens. It’s golden-colored buildings inspired the Florence print, with light reflecting off of the Arno River below.
Burano is an island off the coast of Italy that is best known for two things: its colorful homes and intricate handmade lace work. The brightly colored buildings were the perfect inspiration for a print!
The beautiful city of Venice inspired the second new print in the City Streets series. The city was built on a lagoon, and consequently there are no streets or cars…people either walk or travel by boat.
As those of you following me on Instagram know, I recently took a trip to Spain and Italy with my family, so I decided to make a print for the places we visited. Here’s the inspiration behind the first addition to the City Streets series: the Barcelona print!
